Snodgrass-King Dental Associates Treats For Troops

Treats for Troops Results

Last week we concluded our 4th Annual Treats for Troops, a Snodgrass King candy buy back program. We are so excited to tell you it was HUGE success! We had around 300 kids per night come in to our office to drop off candy. Then of course stay to play, eat pizza and popcorn, see raffle-drawing winners, and find out which school won first place and who got runner up!

The Wilson County schools that participated this year were West Elementary, Elzie Patton Elementary, Stoner Creek Elementary, Mt. Juliet Elementary, Rutland Elementary, Lakeview Elementary, W.A. Wright Elementary, and Gladeville Elementary.

The Spring Hill schools that were added this year were Longview Elementary, Spring Hill Elementary, and Marvin Wright Elementary.

So, Who Won?

In case you missed who won each night, and how much candy they donated (which was A LOT) we’ve recapped it for you!

In Spring Hill, Longview Elementary School took home the 1st place prize of $1,000 from racking up a total of 246 pounds of candy. Then, 2nd place went to Spring Hill Elementary with a total of 103 pounds, and Marvin Wright Elementary was our 3rd place winner collecting 61 pounds.

In Mount Juliet, on night one, Elzie Patton Elementary collected a total of 320lbs, taking home the $250 prize. West Elementary set the bar high racking up a total of 446 pounds of candy, winning them the $500 prize!

On night two, Stoner Creek Elementary and Mt. Juliet Elementary competed. Taking the percentage of weight and total enrollment, Mt. Juliet Elementary came out with the $500 win, with a total of 286.6 pounds. Stoner Creek took home the $250 prize after raising 364.6 pounds of candy.

Night three did not disappoint with Rutland Elementary bringing in a total of 527lbs winning them the $500 prize. Lakeview Elementary won the $250 check for bringing in 210lbs.

On the final night, Gladeville collected 284lbs of candy winning them the $500 prize, and WA Wright took home the $250 prize for raising 160lbs of candy!

As you can see, every single school brought their A-Game! West Elementary won the overall prize of $1,500 in Mt. Juliet, and Longview Elementary won the $1,000 check for their school in Spring Hill.

In addition, students were entered into a raffle for a chance to win door prizes throughout the night. Thank you to our sponsors Crest for donating your time as well as over $500 worth of prizes! Thanks to Jet’s Pizza and Little Ceasers for providing delicious pizza and keeping us fed every night!

Thank You!

Thank you to every school that participated as well as our sponsors for making this event possible! Your efforts brought in 3,300 lbs. of candy total to ship to our troops overseas! We think they will be pretty happy about that!
